First off I got a promotion.
However I found out about it, through the person hired to replace me, which got me rather miffed at first.
I spent the weekend, huffing and puffing, making my poor friends listen to my arduous examination of the sequence of events, showing how 'wronged' I was, until I remembered that your biggest enemy is your ego.
So I re-assessed, re-looked, and re-gigged my point of view, and realized that overall it’s a great thing: A promotion to management, a little more money, an exciting learning opportunity and so much more.
Three cheers to kicking one’s ego to the curb.
