If you invite me over for dinner or a party, you get the following choices:

-The cheapest, yet most exotic sounding bottle of wine available from some obscure wine region like Slovenia

-A dessert, commissioned to my mother, though at the last minute purchased from IGA, and repackaged to look home made

-A useless gift, re-gifted from past parties, you know the kind, votive candles, cd holders etc.

I usually get an email within five minutes, assuring me that I need never bring anything when I come over =)

Hey....
I would have you over anyday if it was slovenia exotic wine... as soooooooo many people are bringing their home made hooch lately and trying to fluff it of as good wine...
They look at me expectantly and say'Ha, fooled you it is homemade and it cost $2 to make'

What's a girl to say' Yeah, I know, and instead ofme making you a dinner, I am going to open this can of Cambell's soup it was 49 cents... Bet you can not tell the difference either!

Pendullum and Steven, Welcome!

Pendullum, your comment on cambell's soup is hilarious. In my defense at least I give good gifts for Christmas?
