My third event at work.
I am now a qualified event planner. Perhaps this could be a part time job!
Don’t you hate how you stay up till12 at night, driving around the city, cleaning out dollar stores of yellow plastic plates, and then wake up at 7 am to pick up pies from one end of the city, and then drive to the other end of the city, in your most fabulous red ensemble, and your most sexiest high heeled boots, to set up for three hundred people, single handedly, putting out table cloths, decorating with leaves, making sure that the little details like milk are available for the tea, only to find that an hour into it, everyone is thanking and “good job-ing” your boss, who strolled in ten minutes ago…
Seriously…

I can't think of a single secret mission that involved either pies or sexy boots

hello
I keep getting a bounce-back on my email affiliated with blogger when I comment on your blog. Can you double check real quick to see if the e-mail where you receive comment updates (if you do any such thing) has an extra "l" in gmail?
thanks
GC
ps sorry to hear about the people who congratulate your boss. Perhaps you can have a signature for all your events--or make yourself a button that reads: head party-planner in chief

This is where the boss says..I couldn't have done it by myself:)
ohhhh yoy... ya... I hates it...
but then there are the little secret behind the scenes victory's that no-one but you and the catering manager know about that means you will have a friend for life after saving his arse by trickily lighting the oven he's been trying to for the last hour..and sweet talking the cafe guys downstairs so you can heat up lunch for a conference of 120 in their industrial sized oven.. to save the day while the oven in the conference room kitchen heats up..
all bosses are the same. I love it when mine is talking to the media about an event that i've done ... and has to stop mid interview to askj me about the details!!
