Tell me something new…

I had a very chirpy bus driver this morning, as women were inserting their tokens into the slot, he kept telling them to go easy, he was feeling fragile this morning, when two unruly ladies got into a little tit argument over who should get into the bus first, he said, ladies, ladies there’s enough of me to go around…seriously….

Funny how a great sense of humor can make you feel like your having a great day.

I am also wearing my new eye shadow from Mac, courtesy of S, its glamours, and sophisticated….and goes so well my hot dress…

Yes that’s right I am wearing a dress, no stockings and sandals to work….because today it’s a balmy 25 degrees in Toronto…..wohoo Global Warming!

I have four solid hours of conference calls ahead of me.

I am also having a hella of a time booking a flight to Mumbai for my friends wedding. Not only are the prices ridiculous, you can’t even get a seat. All my conversations with travel agents seem to consists of an obligatory 2 minutes of scolding for not having booked sooner….anyone can book a flight….I just happen to be making them work for it.

Oh yes and I have to somehow break it to my boss that I will be away for three weeks, rather than the one week originally planned…oooppsss!

Pleasant fellow. A lot different than those bastards that work at the JUTC. And as for you boss, worry about him breaking it to you that you don't have a job when you get back.

What a nice bus driver.

I used to work in a building that had a cleaner who would hang out in the lobby in the morning to talk to all the girls as they arrive. He was lovely - about 70 and about 7 foot tall - he'd bellow across the lobby "Bella, you have never looked more beautiful than today. Never!" Even though he said it to everyone, it was really fantastic to start the day by being told you've never looked more beautiful than today.

One day, he just wasn't there - didn't turn up for work. We never found out where he went.

LMAO @ Grant Miller!!!!

Girl.. maybe Toronto is not like London but I would never take them risks!! Nice and warm one minute and then BAM freaking snowstorm. I don't trust the weather in 'farin' no siree bob!

I rocked a dress yesterday too. I am all for global warming if it means a balmy winter in Canada. Heh. When are you leaving for Mumbai?

I'm with JDid--what is that all about always traveling like that.
Are you dealing with 3rd party agents or the airlines themselves?
Sometimes to Jamaica it's better to deal with the airline.

hey. just found out am off to goa on friday... and on my way back, i have about 7 hours in mumbai in the evening - is it worth getting a taxi man to drive me around just so I can get a feel of the place? Begging for info from you please!!!!

KG, i would not take a random taxi around, because frankly you may be taken for a 'ride' also its kind of confusing...

probably better off staying at the airport..

how and why are you going to goa? Enjoy, I've never been, but I hear the beaches and food is amazing...

India is not as scenic as the carribean, but its beauty is something more exotic....enjoy!

going to a conference...

i figured it's probably better to stay in the hotel... but the thought of a city out there that I've never seen before and is just there is hard to deal with!
