Last night my visitor, friends, and I went to Nami for dinner.
I’m not a big fan of the whole sushi craze, but I did enjoy their unique sushi pizza and roboto steak, tender juicy pieces of meat grilled to perfection (yes Toronto Life, I am available to write your restaurant reviews.)
At dinner the friends decided that I would be perfect for their friend ‘Stratford.’
I agreed, thinking they would forget about it in a couple of days and life would go on.
I have preserving friends. As soon as dinner was over, we were whisked off to Yorkville, where Stratford was introduced.
Stratford is a very interesting guy. He’s an out of work actor, whose family is well off enough that he can be as bohemian as he wants, he’s spent much of his life traveling, highlighted by a lengthy stint in Japan, he’s funny, clever, fully of interesting anecdotes, he made me laugh a couple of times, and overall I found him to be the most interesting person I’ve met in a while.
Stratford appeals to the learned side of me, the I like to watch plays, read books, watch artsy movies, and travel to places no one else wants to see ……side.
But then there’s the loves to shake up a storm, leave a fete dripping wet, thinks booty shorts should be part of the summer dress code side…
Is it possible to find someone who can speak to both sides?
In the meantime, is it wrong to explore Stratford?
