Last night my visitor, friends, and I went to Nami for dinner.

I’m not a big fan of the whole sushi craze, but I did enjoy their unique sushi pizza and roboto steak, tender juicy pieces of meat grilled to perfection (yes Toronto Life, I am available to write your restaurant reviews.)

At dinner the friends decided that I would be perfect for their friend ‘Stratford.’
I agreed, thinking they would forget about it in a couple of days and life would go on.

I have preserving friends. As soon as dinner was over, we were whisked off to Yorkville, where Stratford was introduced.

Stratford is a very interesting guy. He’s an out of work actor, whose family is well off enough that he can be as bohemian as he wants, he’s spent much of his life traveling, highlighted by a lengthy stint in Japan, he’s funny, clever, fully of interesting anecdotes, he made me laugh a couple of times, and overall I found him to be the most interesting person I’ve met in a while.

Stratford appeals to the learned side of me, the I like to watch plays, read books, watch artsy movies, and travel to places no one else wants to see ……side.

But then there’s the loves to shake up a storm, leave a fete dripping wet, thinks booty shorts should be part of the summer dress code side…

Is it possible to find someone who can speak to both sides?

In the meantime, is it wrong to explore Stratford?

would you like fries with that?

maybe Stratford has a football, beer, and stripclub side--are you down?

Or else, you better get a basement and get to work on your very own Frankenperfection

Sounds like he don't work. Mooches off his parents. That would be a nono for me. Anybody can afford to be interesting when they are using other people's money. But then, the question was about you, wasn't it?

Hahaha MB you kill me man... I was thinking similar lines. What Cranky's talking 'bout can be solved easy ...but it involve her turnin' lesbian...

The reason most women lament that they can't find a good man, is 'cause they're always looking for one. You never find what you're looking for while looking for it, you just find something you think is close enough, or that you can change into what you're looking for... then you soon find disappointment. Is like searching through the whole wolf-pack looking for a kitty-cat.

Cranky, I bet money you have had 'nuff guys in your life that fit your description of Mr. Perfect, but you called, or still call them "friends"... First time they get drunk and try get some, you tell them you don't want to ruin the friendship...or I could be wrong.

Me thinks you guys are having way too much fun with this....

Trouble, smarty pants, your spot on....only they aren't Perfect, and I ain't looking for perfection, Im looking for a wonderfully flawed human being who will stop and pay attention...

CP, though it PAINS me to admit, I agree (somewhat) with MB and...gasp...Trouble. Fellow does sound like a moocher.

Well off is no excuse for laziness and lack of ambition. And, the 'booty shorts' side raises questions as well.

But, explore him. Date the side that you identify with, and tell the other side to shut up...see what happens. Sounds like an interesting character overall.

Harsh cynical reality: No, it is not possible to find someone who speaks to both sides.
