I am a bad, bad blogger…. spank me!

It’s been a while, I know.

Here’s what I’ve been up to in a nutshell:

Partying it up for Caribanna, first there was an all red fete, where my pretty red shorts were a hit, then an all white fete, then an outdoor fete, then an indoor fete….and just generally a lot of fun in the sun…

Transitioning at work-before I get to start my new job, I have to complete another phase of my current project. I’ve discovered a new pet peeve, the “cc.” Why oh why are people so childish that they feel the need to cc other people on every single email they send, as if to warn you, that look their telling their bosses, so you better shape up….psssh.

I hadn’t signed my new offer letter and I had an inkling that since my current boss presented the offer, I had better get it all in writing. Right enough, in chatting with my new boss, her offer letter had a $2000 discount on the proposed salary. When I pointed out the error my new boss, whom we shall fondly refer to as SS henceforth, got visibly angry. Infact I swear at one point her creepy little eyes rolled into the back of her head. She was huffing and puffing about other people giving me wrong information and then began to challenge me, insinuating that I was very petty for wanting my promised 2k. As the drama played out, I got my money, but now have a dreaded feeling about leaving one awful boss for another more wretched soul. After all she has no P&L to worry about, and the money would make absolutely no difference to her, so her anger seems to unwarranted. On the bright side it just means a lot more stories for you folks!

It’s pouring in Toronto today. I went to the gym and holding my umbrella I revelled in a memory long forgotten, the setting Mumbai, in my grand mother’s garden, splashing around in the monsoons with my two cousins, in our red gum boots, me looking deeply into the sky at the wondrous, huge drops engulfing my face, marvelling at the majesty of rain. And then there’s the smell that comes with rain…..

I’m going on a mini trip to New York for labour day weekend, so all you bloggers in the vicinity holler, and let’s plan to meet up. I need help finding those beautiful fake fendi’s.

In keeping with my quest to learn more about myself I am putting together a list of all the things that get me excited in life and all the things that just mere thought of doing them or being around them make me want to run for my bed and curl up. This is supposed to give me some insights into finding my grand vocation.

The rain is clearing up now, and little rays of sun are peeking through, so I am off to shower, and put on my new green dress, that is strategically cut, my sexy black heels and head of for a friends birthday, you folks have a good night….

welcome to NYC!!!
when is labor day anyway?
and I have never been to those dress-code parties. I never quite understood the point and the flyers always made it look like some sweaty, frowsy guy was just going to try rub his crotch on anything holding still.
