Ramblings of a Distracted Mind:

I’ve been entertaining a lot lately.

Each morning I seem to be putting at least two liquor bottles into the recycle bin. And its only Wednessday.

Last night some of the HR girls came over. It was a lot of fun, sitting around bitching about our minion status, dreaming of the day when we will take over the company and Lord over other minions.

Us HR girls, we have goals.

So again I find myself here, at work, tired, overwhelmed by the amount of paper on my desk, the ridiculous amount of emails marked urgent and un-read, procrastinating and mourning over the fact that my most favorite pair of fall pants are needling into my slowly expanding waist line.

I was exited this morning too, when I remember them, sitting in the back of my closet, patiently awaiting September. I slowly slid them on, relishing the soft silk feel, marveling at the simplicity of the black on black stripping, till I tried to pull them up past my posterior and they would not budge.

Girls, what is it with our favorite pants that we cannot let go, and instead resort to jumping around like a rabbit, trying to wiggle into a pair of pants you know your going to regret wearing at lunch time?

On the flip side, I am now eagerly awaiting going home and jumping on the treadmill.

Favorite pants + large bum=Motivation

Hold on there, mind how you reduce the bum.Thats is a most valuable ass-et for a woman, see if you can reduce the waistline but leave the bum alone. As for the pants, just let it out! ;)

Seems like you're a bit of a megalomaniac. And by favourite pants, you mean the one that shows off your ass better right? If so, it's understandable why you wouldn't want to part with them.

True story. When I first joined the police department I was quite fetching in my uniform (what black man uses the word fetching?) Anyway, I didn't want to believe that I was gaining weight, as the years went by until one day this guy passed out on the ground, Downtown and squated down to craddle his head...Let's just say, when your uniform pants split, from crotch to crack, you know it's time to let 'em go.

Hey, I was gonna tell that same story, Forge. What up with that?

Sound like you got your back to the gym call! Well at least you have some motivation to exercise.

I'm with bitsandgiggles, shoes will soothe you until you can slide back into those pants!

But wait, what am I to do with all those spandex and big t-shirts? I guess I'll have to sleep in 'em...people do still sleep in em' right? LOL

Inciquay...sleeping in them is so 80's, these days La Vie En Rose, makes comfy over shirts.....and sexy frilly things, or there is always bare skin...

I'm always on this cycle of lose weight/gain weight. I can't seem to just maintain. It's exhausting, but I've learned to live with it. Right now I'm motivated to look like The Rock as I just went and saw his movie, "The Game Plan" last night. Good movie by the way.
