Leaders who do not take accountability for their actions

I don’t care what your minion did, as their leader stand up for their actions, especially the ones you endorsed.

Been there, put up with that. I so don't miss the corporate world.

true true. leaders should give the credit to their staff when the goings good and take the flack when the heats on.

hey, they couldn't become a leader without throwing a few souls under the bus. it's the price they paid for selling out.

Or, you could be faced with a stoopid subordinate who does not have the sense that God gave a fly and messes up at every other inconceivable opportunity, who no leader in their right mind will support on any level because he is a moron!!

Ahem...sorry, I had to vent.

I agree, if the boss gives the go ahead, he/she is responsible for the outcome... good or bad!

@Minijonb: Don't necessarily agree. Not everyone got to where they are by throwing someone under the bus.I don't think that's a trait of a manager...that's a personal trait that carried over into management. If you're a trifling person, you will likely be a trifling manager.

Mine's micromanaging. LOL

If they endorsed it then they have to take the rap too. If the employee flew solo then you on your own

I totally agree. I respect a leader that takes the brunt of the blame rather than one that dodges it.
