Back in the day, I would get on the bus, and instinctively walk to the back corner, and plop myself down, one foot on the seat ahead. I’d lean back in a slouch, looking straight ahead, with attitude that would make Naomi Campbell proud.
These days, I get on and sit as close to the front door as possible, folding my skirt neatly to one side, feet tucked in, eyes deep in a book, in my mind cussing out the teenagers in the back, especially the girl with the short skirt, who has placed her feet on the seat ahead, so you can see her wohoo, whilst she chatters on flirtatiously to the fella whose pants are dropping around his knees…
Ahh How times change….
