It’s minus thirty five and I am hibernating.

My new hibernation routine is as follows….wake up at 6.15 and lament till 6.30 how much it sucks to be poor and have to work for a living. Walk to the subway, the whole time cursing my parents for not immigrating to Australia. Get on the subway, and try and stay as far away from anyone who happens to cough or sneeze….since I am now paranoid by about my “BAD LUCK.”
Sit at work for eight hours, procrastinating because it really is WAY too cold to actually work. At 4.30 gleefully head home, to have a hot shower and get under my covers.

I simply can’t understand my foolish friends (YOU KNOW WHO U ARE) planning parties and calling me up to “Hang Out” It is minus thirty five. It is too cold to Hang Anything Anywhere. Go Home and Sleep, call me in a Month. Unless you happen to be of the opposite Sex, good looking, have buns of steel and are willing to get under the covers with me, then please by all means call me to “Hang Out.” (Read this part in soft raspey voice.)

I watched Babel last night which is a newer version of Crash. Same idea…same connect the dots process. Did anyone else watch it? Did they paint those wrinkles on Brad? He sure looked old. And I really need a second opinion on this: did anyone else get creeped out by the last scene with the dad? Or was that just me?

I hear you about the weather. Last night I went over to a friends to watch ANTM. She lives two blocks away. I almost called a cab for the return trip. Seriously.

I hated Babel. Hated it. So damn boring and long. I was more creeped out by the little incesty Afghanistan kids. Ew. And that poor Mexican nanny. All she wanted to do was go to her son's wedding and it all went so wrong for her.

haven't seen Babel but have a friend who supports the bootlegging industry and will probably bring it by soon.

Yes, please do stay under the covers. You don't need frostbite on top of bad luck.

I know it's damn cold but being nice and warm here on the rock I can't relate to such temperatures! (lol, just rubbing it in)But I'll just consider the conditions in my freezer when you talk about -35deg.

The first paragraph is a reflection of me!!! I am soooo tired of working, and have been cussing my parents that its their fault that I was born broke! I am a Diva dammit, how can a Diva be poor??? There is something fundamentally wrong with the concept!

Sowwy 'bout the cold, I am toasty warm, even sweating ; )

Oh - I feel your pain too!! Moved from Australia to NYC six months ago, and so far have dealt with cold weather, and an occasional 3-day lack of heat and hot water.. Back home are amazing beaches and 90+ degree weather.. must be crazy, eh?

Soooo, if your readers send you a whole bunch of members of the opposite sex with buns of steel who want to hibernate, can you send a few my way?? Altruism can help make you feel all warm and toasty... Thanks! ;^)
