A Plea

To the wonderful bloggers whose blogs I love and Enjoy:

Please oh please get rid of your damn word verification.

I never get the letters right. How come a 'q' always looks like 'g' and an 'i' looks like an 'l'?

Either way its driving me crazy....and I don't have it, and I have yet to get spam. It's safe, DO IT, DO IT....(h0ws that for peer pressure?)

I aware that you lot are going to ignore me....but even if I win over one soul, one blog, one mind....... it would be worth it....

I AGREE! It also drives me nuts that if you wait too long before hitting 'post' on your comment, then the verification has changed and you have to start all over again.

Consider it done HR lady! Of course, this means you have to come post more often then.

By the way, "The Time Traveler's Wife" is one of my favorites as well ... just sharing.

Chris: thanks for the link,

Mari: We are sisters untied in the fight.

HJ: Will be reading your blog regardless, but without word verification will comment a hell of a lot more....Great book, may i reccomend the Posion Wood Bible?

or just move to wordpress!

do I have that? I don't think I have that. Those things are real hard to do. On blogsome it is worse because they give you some things that aren't even letters at all but you think its an "8" and then you get it wrong. Problems.

The word veri can really be a pain. While I was on blogger I never used it for quite a while and the caribloggers were fine for a while, then one morning I checked my box and there was spam everywhere even on comments that I had long since left behind. So enter word veri and I think the same has been the case with many of the others on blogger. Some persons even went to comment moderation. Wordpress has askimet but it's behind the scenes and the page owner has the task of cleaning it up. Either way it's an evil of the net...spam that is.

Attention KG: CP will NOT be moving to wordpress! Hmmmpffhh! We're loyalists, dammit! LOL.

It's really annoying, I don't have it on my site. Even if I get spammed (which I dont, but which I know I'll start getting, just cos I wrote this), it's much easier for me to just delete the spam comments than have my loyal readers go through another step. Hehe.

CP: You should try reading from the BBC Big Read...since we have a lot of the same as our favorites, you might enjoy the challenge.

Ohhh, do I have it on? I don't think I do...but tell me if I do.

Too much caffeine.

More spam

Spam backwards spells "maps," something no secret agent should be without. Even though they might have to eat them if confronted by the enemy.

Lol..I agree it's tiresome but spam was flooding the blog so much that there was no choice.

Whats the deal with the handicap sign beside the word verification too? Does it mean if you get it wrong you are retarded?

I can't stand it either! I can't understand why you and Simple can't just haul your little tails over to wordpress so we can be one :)

Such stubborness!(Hey is that a word?)

Gela we are creatures of habit, and besides new blogger, is for the most simplistic of bloggers.... to learn a new format would be expecting too much.

That being said, I wish to thank all those who actually went ahead and braved a blog without word verification.....I had no idea I was so powerful (yes I have a low definition of power)....

Now what else can I get yall to do? Well besides sending me mangoes.

Post your email address and maybe you'll get better results. As for me, due to the nature of my job, I must maintain reasonable security measures.

Job vs. blogging...

Where are your priorities, man?

There's a reason why it's on...crazy ass spammers can pick up words in your blog and POOF! Start bombing away...
