Breaking Up Is Hard To Do

Remember that song back in the day:“Don’t take your love, Away from me…(Da doo dad um) Don’t leave me in Misery… (Do doo dad dum) Cuz if you go then Ill be Blue..cuz breaking up is hard to doooo.”

So everyone around me is breaking up….ok so I exaggerate, but still quite a few of the lovers in my life are going through a rough patch. And while I feel sorry for them, the real annoyance comes when such lovers begin to breakup all over the internet.

Couple 1:

Couple 1 has been together for four years, they had issues, and it wasn’t working out. That’s the story I would have gone with to anyone that asked .

Instead….

*First I got a facebook update that He So n So is now listed as Single and She So n So is looking for love.
*Then there was a three page email from She so n so, cc-ing He So n So, to about 150 of his and her closest friends, explaining the break up and details of the relationship I really didn’t care to know

Couple 2:

He cheated on her, she found out and kicked his arse to the curb. An everyday tale we all understand. Sadly with the advent of FB, the tale got nasty, first the dude got all whinny, his updates were down right pathetic, at one time I felt the need to reach out and say, “Get a grip.” She was very very clever. Taking Kate Middleton’s example, she went on to enjoy life. Really, really enjoy life; there was album after album of her weekend escapades, dance routines, and general happiness. He continued to sulk, whine, cry and pout. Until he got mean; nothing worse than a mean bitter man.

Reminds me of a line from the Big Bang Theory: The Truth Has No Place On the Internet!

Keep your business to yourself.

Breaking up is easier than most people think... it's our fear of change that keeps us from moving on...

all dem looking for attention thats all. nobody aint have to know the details of the break up. sit down home, drink yaself into a stupor, get up next day move on or some variation of that theme. no need to post on FB or email.

Recently I had to step in and give my friend moral suppport on FB. Her soon to be ex husband and his mother decided FB was the best place to wash their dirty linen.I couldn't believe people could sink that low.

its always entertaining to see ex-couples war it out on FB.

Personally I keep my FB profile GF free to avoid that drama.

ps. I <3 big bang theory too!!

People need to just keep certain things to themselves, seriously.

For real. She went on his profile that had him as "Married", all of a sudden it was "Single" and the rest is history. 7 years of marriage, 2 kids, done on FB.

I'm in a relationship, that's all people need to know. They don't need to know with whom, for how long, etc. I don't even have my significant other in my friends list ...
